An Extraordinary Challenge

When our volunteers decided to attempt a Polish record in a 24-hour ice water relay, many people thought it was impossible. The rules were simple but brutal: participants would take turns entering water with a maximum temperature of just 2°C, maintaining a continuous relay for a full 24 hours without stopping.

The challenge was set against the backdrop of a Polish winter — and every single participant knew exactly what they were signing up for. The cold was relentless. The water was unforgiving. And yet, not one person quit.

Why They Did It

Every step into that freezing water was taken for Lilanka — a young girl whose story moved the hearts of everyone who heard it. The Foundation rallied volunteers, supporters, and the wider community around a single purpose: to raise funds and awareness for Lilanka's ongoing medical needs.

The challenge was not just about endurance. It was a statement. A declaration that the people of this community will go to extraordinary lengths for those who need them most.

"Every time I stepped into that water, I thought of Lilanka. The cold didn't matter anymore. What mattered was that we were doing something real — something that would make a difference for her."

The Record

The relay ran without interruption for the full 24 hours. Participants rotated through the freezing water in shifts, each one cheered on by the crowd gathered to witness history being made. Medical staff were on hand throughout, and the safety of every participant was carefully monitored.

At the end of the 24 hours, the team had officially set a Polish record — and raised significant funds for Lilanka in the process. The achievement was met with tears, embraces, and an outpouring of community pride.
