The Numbers Behind the Impact
Since we opened our doors in 2020, the Fundacja Warto Żyć Dla Kogoś has completed over 30 fundraisers for children and families across Poland. Every single zloty raised has gone directly to the families we support — not a single penny taken for administrative costs.
These numbers tell part of the story. But behind each fundraiser is a child, a family, and a community that came together to make a difference. Here is what that looks like in real terms.
What Your Donations Have Funded
The funds raised through our campaigns have covered a wide range of life-changing needs:
- Medical treatments — covering surgeries, specialist consultations, and procedures not fully funded by the state health system
- Rehabilitation — funding physiotherapy sessions, specialist rehabilitation programmes, and the equipment families need at home
- Specialist equipment — wheelchairs, orthopaedic aids, hearing devices, and other assistive technology
- Therapy — speech therapy, occupational therapy, and psychological support for children and their families
- Travel costs — helping families travel to specialist clinics and hospitals across Poland and abroad

Stories of Change

We protect the privacy of the families we support, but with their permission we share updates through our fundraiser pages so that donors can see the difference their contributions have made. These updates are some of the most moving moments in our Foundation's work — watching a child take their first steps after rehabilitation, or hearing that a surgery was successful.
